Overview

A generously proportioned, two-part serving platter featuring a round all-pewter tray with handles and a removable oven and dishwasher-safe ceramic insert. It will comfortably hold a pasta dinner for eight, or large salad. This tray can also accommodate the ceramic pieces of our sectional platter (item 1527), and all can be purchased separately.

Please note: While the ceramic insert is oven safe up to 500 degrees, pewter is not. It’s a lovely material for serving hot foods, but placing it an oven, warming drawer or on a stove top will transform this platter from beauty into beast.

Care Instructions

The ceramic casserole insert is dishwasher safe on the lowest heat setting, the Pewter tray is not. Pewter Tarnishes very slowly and requires almost no maintenance.  Should you want to polish your pewter, almost any metal polish will do.  Read the container before you purchase.  MATCH Pewter does not contain lead and is completely food safe.  To clean your pewter after using it to serve food, hand wash in warm water using a liquid dish soap.  Dry the pewter completely.  Pewter is NOT microwave or oven safe.
