Tre pianelle pocket knife

The Tre Pianelle Italian Regional Knife by Berti is named for the three distinct planes on the blade. This knife is used for defense or hunting. This knife was originally found in Roman and Sicilian models from pre -nineteenth century and in other hunting knives. They have incredibly sharp lines that were more suitable for self-defense or attack rather than cutting.

The violent aspect to the knife’s history was abandoned when it became a Scarperia knife in the Tuscany region. This type of knife is rare among Scarperia knives because the specific features are better for hunting than for cutting like other knives are crafted for.
